One of Detroit’s premier music producers, vocalists, performers and DJ’s. He produces and spins without boundaries, often fusing a multitude of styles to create new innovations in sound.

Malik toured the United States as a founding member of the DJ collective Rhythmic Fusion, and currently performs original works as a keyboardist and vocalist with his solo project and band, Malik Alston & The Linwood Ensemble, with appearances at Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival, House of Blues in Chicago, the Jazz Café and the Marble Bar.

Malik has performed with; Dwele, Les Nubians, Amp Fiddler, Bubs Fiddler, Louie Vega, Don Was, Dave McMurray, Mr. V, Gabe Gonzalez, Blue Nefertiti, Eric Roberson, Martin Luther, The Linwood Ensemble, Painted Pictures, Sky Covington, Paul Randolph, MonicaBlaire, Khary Kimani Turner, Marcus Belgrave, Ortheia Barnes, Harold McKinney, Allan Barnes, Baatin and Robert Glasper, among many artists.
