We're supporting the Campo Sancho festival, which runs from the 29th - 31st July 2022 at Walkern Hall, Walkern, Nr Stevenage. It promises to be a celebration of great music, good people, delicious locally sourced food, craft beers and quality cocktails. Throughout June we'll be hosting guest mixes from some of the artists, and first up is the Balearic master, Andy Wilson. Gino is a long time collector, DJ and producer (one half of Italian producers, G&D with Dino Angioletti) who started buying records at 11 years old at the tail end of the 70′s. Bring Down The Walls - South African spotlight
Lakuti's musch loved 'Bring Down The Walls' show returns on Sunday 30 January with a new format. For 2022 Lerato will be inviting some of her favourite DJs & crews from South Africa to take over the show every other month, and over time, expanding to other parts of the continent as the year unfolds. Kicking things off this month are Slow Motion City & Lirubishi both hailing from Capre Town.

Happydaes DJ agency are joining the UR family for a monthly takeover
Happydaes was established in 2020 as a new artist agency and musical collective, and represent DJ’s and artists from the niche worlds of house music and beyond. Happydaes aims to build connections, spread the quality sounds and message of each artist on the roster and ultimately, to challenge the perception and output of artist management. Expect shows from; David Harness, Terry Hunter, Neil Pierce, Rocco Radamaal, Journey Men, Mark Radford, Ricky Morrison, Ronnie Herel and Craig Smith.

Yvonne Turner joins Lakuti for October's 'Bring Down The Walls'
Yvonne is a woman who helped shape House music and whose contribution helped to put New York City on the map. One of the pioneering female producers back in the 70s, she's played a hand in some of the most iconic and essential records, such as: Colonel Abrahams‘s “Music is the Answer “, Arnold Jarvis’s Take some time out“, Willie Colon’s “Set fire to me“, and went on to work with Whitney Houston, Lenny Kravitz, Yazz, Lisa Stansfield, Oleta Adam’s + many more. In 2017 a killer tune that she wrote, produced and remixed back in the 80s, "Can’t Let you go" with Loleatta Holloway, was finally released to the world and included a remix by Louie Vega. The fact that Yvonne is not a household name like her male counterparts, says a lot about the industry. We owe so much to Yvonne...

Go Kiryu is joining the UR family
Based in New York via japan Go Kiryu started his DJ career in 1996 at club LOOP in Tokyo. After hearing the hype of Body&SOUL in NY, Go visited several times and those experiences made him move to NY in 2000. His taste and knowledge of music, and the key DJ contacts he made whilst there, were quickly recognized and Cisco records in Tokyo hired him to place their music with his American contacts. Soon after, he became a buyer for Manhattan records. At the same time DJ Danny Krivit enlisted him to make the official playlists for his famous 718 Sessions parties & NYC’s legendary Body&SOUL parties.
Go was well versed in a wide range of music, which got the attention of Maestro film producer Josell Ramos to have him as his resident DJ for several of his MAESTRO launch parties. Go was getting to be very well known in the NY underground club scene, started to DJ a many of the iconic NY parties & clubs, like... 718 Sessions, Body&SOUL, Deep Space, Club-Shelter, Cielo, Crobar, Elsewhere, Exit, Good Room, LeBain, Nublu, Public Records, Santos, Webster Hall, SOB’s etc. and alongside top DJ's & performing artists like... François K, Danny Krivit, Joe Claussell, John Morales, Kim Lightfoot, Hector Romero, DJ MKL, Monday Michiru, Alex From Tokyo, Japan’s Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, DJ Nori & Toshiyuki Goto.
Italy's Gino Grasso is joining the UR family
Gino is a long time collector, DJ and producer (one half of Italian producers, G&D with Dino Angioletti) who started buying records at 11 years old at the tail end of the 70′s when his uncle was working at an independent radio station in Italy. He soon fell in love with disco and boogie seeking out music that was generally off the radar of collectors at the time. He was lucky enough to land his first gigs at one of the premiere underground clubs in Italy, the Kinky Club in Bologna. He was part of the amazing Italian DJ crew Garage Paradise, alongside the like of Enrico Crivellaro aka Volcov, Luca Trevisi, Riccio and other good guys, and he's been playing around international and Italian clubs for years.
Expect hot groovy records, enchanting disco, serious funk, stunning reworks of old school tunes, obscure gems, great classics and pure love for the warmest music ever.
Gino's first show is Friday 6th August 6 - 7 PM


Incoming new release from Lea Lisa
Karakul is the sub-label of London based record shop Phonica that is focused on deeper House from around the globe. The labels roster has included Stockholm’s Omar Santis and the brilliant Al Zanders.
This time Karakul welcomes Lea Lisa to the fold with her latest offering ‘Keys Of Life’ featuring Chicago House legend Glenn Underground. On the ‘Keys Of Life EP’ Lea Lisa showcases here unquestionable talent. The title track is bumping yet soulful. It’s an uplifting piece of classic house but with a contemporary feel. The remix comes from Chicago luminary and legend Glenn Underground. On his ‘Esoteric Mix’, Glenn takes the track to a more ethereal place, with spacious pads that swirl above a squelching bass line. The ‘Esoteric Dub’ lets things breathe even more, twisting the music and its components into new shapes and forms

London's Patrick Steele joining the UR family
A passionate music collector, Patrick has been playing on the London music scene since the mid 80’s, where he soon gained a reputation of being a diverse selector. He was a member of the original ‘Confunktion’ Soul collective, playing large underground sell-out parties. In more recent times, Patrick has worked alongside others such as Mucho Soul, Slave2theVibe and Makin’ Moves and, as well as running his own night called ‘Bring Your Own Vinyl’ (BYOV), has played at nights such as Jazzfunksoul, Househuntin’, Pret A Ecouter and Mi Casa es Su Casa, to name but a few.
Patrick's debut show airs on Monday 19 April at 7 PM


Sweden's Lighthouse Collective joining the UR family
Lighthouse is a party collective from Stockholm, Sweden. They started out in 2012 when they got together to do an independent party they felt was missing on the Stockholm club scene at the time. A few months and parties later they rented a loft space just outside the city where they threw parties, arranged dance battles, cooked dhal and had a great time. In the collective different DJ´s have come and gone but three have remained the backbone, they are: Rickard Wihlmer, Julian Wareing and Farsta Kalle. The collective have since moved on to play other independent parties, festivals and club nights mainly in Stockholm but occasionally in other cities too.

Chicago's Cordell Johnson joining the UR family
Cordell has been DJ’ing since 1981 and has taken inspiration from city pioneers like Farley "Funkin" Keith on WBMX, and Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy at the Power Plant, the Music Box & COD's. He went on to create HottWaxx Productions in the mid 80s and has worked with long-time friend Steve 'Silk' Hurley. Cordell is currently providing a movement for dancers and music lovers by encouraging people to take an "Excursion" off the beaten path of music and the usual scene in Chicago.
Simply put... it’s an exploration into the diverse sounds of soulful house music in the Windy City, a sound that’s deeply infused with the rhythms of the Afro-Latino diaspora

Wah Wah 45s Dom Servini joining the UR family
Dom is a stalwart of the soulful music scene in London. As co-owner of the Wah Wah 45s record label (this year celebrating its twenty second birthday) and resident DJ at their club and live events, as well as being an internationally respected turntablist, Dom knows not only how to rock a party, but also has the knack for finding an exciting new artist or two. Dom has been responsible for signing Hackney Colliery Band, The Milk, Dele Sosimi, Honeyfeet, Resonators and many more.
